The Leadership Harvest: Sowing Success in Others
Are you reaping what you want to be sowing in your leadership?
In my work as a coach and leader, I’ve observed one universal truth: The quality of your professional relationships is the direct harvest of the seeds you plant. If a culture is defined by conflict, silos, or stalled growth, we have to look at the "seeds." Often, the culprit is subtle self-centeredness—focusing on our own metrics, our own credit, and our own convenience. But when we shift to a mindset of intentional selflessness, everything changes.
True leadership isn't about what you can get; it’s about what you can give away. When we "plant" in response to the needs of others—letting go of the need for credit and focusing on their potential—we don't just see better results; we see transformed lives.
The Bottom Line: Selfishness harvests "weeds" of resentment. Selflessness harvests a "crop" of trust, loyalty, and sustainable growth.
Your Challenge: Identify one person you lead or coach who is currently struggling. For the next 7 days, perform one "low-visibility" act of service for them that prioritizes their needs over your own convenience. Watch how the harvest begins to change.
Let’s stop managing and start multiplying.
