God Created Me to Love Me

God Created Me to Love Me

(From one of my quiet times this week..)

“Long before he laid down earth’s foundations, he had us in mind, had settled on us as the focus of his love…” — Ephesians 1:4 (MSG)

One of the most freeing realizations in my leadership and personal growth journey has been this: my struggle to love God more deeply was never about a lack of effortit was about a lack of understanding how deeply I am already loved.

God’s love didn’t begin with my performance, obedience, or spiritual maturity. It began before creation itself. Before I achieved anything, He chose me as the focus of His love and created me to be made whole by it.

Love is always a response to being loved first (1 John 4:19). When I truly grasp that God’s very nature is love—and that I was created in His image—everything shifts. My primary purpose isn’t just to serve, strive, or achieve. It’s to receive His love and respond to it.

When that truth sinks in, it brings clarity, confidence, and peace. It anchors leadership in identity instead of pressure and growth in love instead of fear. And it keeps me from missing the most important thing I was created for.

Bottom line:

I was created to be loved by God—and my primary purpose is to love Him in response.

Next steps:

Slow down. Receive what’s already true—you are deeply loved. Then live, lead, and grow from that place, not for it. Let love anchor you… and move forward intentionally. If you’re navigating leadership, growth, or life from a place of striving instead of security, let’s talk. Intentional growth always begins with clarity around who you are and what truly matters. Comment or message me if this resonates.

Are You Growing—or Just Staying Busy?

Are You Growing—or Just Staying Busy?

John C. Maxwell said it best:
“Growth doesn’t just happen—it must be intentional.”

Most people don’t fail because they lack potential. They stall because they never slow down long enough to grow on purpose.

Intentional growth requires reflection, consistency, and the courage to make choices that align with who you’re becoming—not just what’s urgent today. The leaders and individuals  who make the greatest impact aren’t the busiest; they’re the most deliberate.

When growth becomes intentional, clarity increases, confidence strengthens, and potential turns into progress.

Next Steps:
If you’re ready to stop drifting and start growing with intention, let’s have a conversation. Your next level begins with a single intentional step. Message me or comment below to connect.

Are You Designing Your Life—or Defaulting Into It?

Are You Designing Your Life—or Defaulting Into It?

Graham Weaver once said:

“The truest form of intelligence is designing the life you want to live.”

That idea reframes what it really means to be smart. It’s not just about knowledge, credentials, or achievement. It’s about intention.

Too many capable individuals and leaders (myself included) drift into lives shaped by urgency, expectations, or default decisions—rather than by purpose and values. True wisdom shows up when we can slow down, reflect, and make choices aligned with who we are becoming, not just what we are producing.

Intentional growth and leadership begin with designing your life on purpose—so your work, relationships, and growth are aligned with what matters most.

Next Steps:

If you’re ready to move from reacting to life to intentionally designing it, let’s start with a conversation. Clarity is often the first step toward meaningful growth. Feel free to comment or message me to connect.

Purpose Beyond Ourselves

Purpose Beyond Ourselves

(From one of my quiet times this week..)

I’ve come to believe this deeply: I wasn’t placed on this earth just to consume, achieve, or check boxes. I was created to contribute.

Scripture says, “It is God himself who has made us what we are… and long ages ago he planned that we should spend these lives in helping others” (Ephesians 2:10, TLB). That verse reframes everything. Purpose isn’t found in titles or accomplishments—it’s lived out through service.

Every act of leadership, coaching, encouragement, or support—no matter how small—matters. When I help others grow, I’m stepping into the very work God prepared for me long before I realized it. This calling isn’t reserved for pastors or clergy. Every Christ follower is a minister, because service is ministry.

That conviction fuels my passion for intentional leadership and personal growth. When leaders grow on purpose, they create space for others to discover their potential, step into it with confidence, and live lives of impact.

Call to action:

This week, choose one place—at work, church, or in your community—where you can intentionally serve and show up consistently. And if you’re a leader who wants to grow personally while helping others do the same, let’s connect. I’d love to walk that journey with you.

From Existence to Purpose

From Existence to Purpose

Mark Twain said it best:
“The two most important days in your life are the day you are born and the day you find out why.”

Too many people spend their time just showing up—busy but not intentional. True leadership begins when we shift from simply existing to discovering why we exist.

The first day: You are given life, talent, and potential.
The second day: You gain clarity on how that potential serves others.

As leaders and coaches, our role isn’t to add more tasks to people’s plates—it’s to help them align who they are, what they do, and why it matters.

When purpose is clear, motivation surges, decisions sharpen, resilience strengthens, and leadership becomes true influence—not just a title.

Bottom line:
Purpose precedes performance. People don’t fail because they lack ability; they stall because they lack direction. When purpose lights the path, growth becomes intentional.

Reflection to consider:

What am I doing today that aligns with my deeper purpose?
Where am I active but not truly effective?
How does my role help others win?
If I lead others, am I helping them discover their “why”?

Great leaders don’t just build skills — they develop people. And people grow fastest when they know not just what they do, but why they do it.

Next Steps:
If you’re ready to help yourself or your team move from just existing to leading with purpose, let’s connect. Together, we’ll uncover your “why” and unlock the intentional growth that drives lasting impact. Drop a comment or send me a message to start the conversation.

Serve First. Lead Well.

Serve First. Lead Well.

Chris Edmonds defines servant leadership simply and powerfully:
helping others become the best versions of themselves.

That definition resonates deeply with me—because leadership isn’t about position, title, or authority. It’s about intentional influence. It’s about seeing potential in others before they see it themselves, creating environments where people can grow, and choosing to serve before being served.

When leaders commit to personal growth, self-awareness, and intentional coaching, something shifts. Teams thrive. Cultures strengthen. People step into who they were created to be—not by accident, but by design.

My work is focused on helping leaders slow down, get clear, and lead on purpose—so they can multiply their impact and help others do the same.

Call to action:
If you’re a leader who wants to grow personally and help others reach their fullest potential, let’s connect. Comment below or send me a message—I’d love to start the conversation.

You Weren’t Meant to Live Someone Else’s Story

You Weren’t Meant to Live Someone Else’s Story

"Somewhere, at this very moment, someone appears to be doing better than you. Their progress is faster. Perhaps their business grows more quickly or their career is advancing rapidly... there is always another life that shimmers more than your own.” - James Clear

At any given moment, it can feel like someone else is ahead. Their career seems to be accelerating faster. Their business appears to be thriving. Their life looks more put together, more successful, more effortless.

But comparison is one of the most exhausting and unproductive uses of energy.

You were never meant to live someone else’s story. You were designed with a unique purpose, a unique pace, and a unique path. The goal isn’t to beat their life—the goal is to faithfully and intentionally live yours.

Growth doesn’t always look dramatic. Sometimes it’s quiet, slow, and unseen. But staying focused on your own work, your own development, and your own calling is how real progress is made.

As leaders and people committed to personal growth, we must learn to keep our eyes on our own paper—trusting that our consistency, integrity, and intentional effort will compound over time.

Here are some specific examples in my journey as a leadership coach and intentional growth advocate:

  1. Learning to Build My Coaching Business at My Own Pace
Early in my coaching career, I noticed peers rapidly gaining clients. Instead of trying to mimic them, I’ve learned to stay true to my values—leading with faith, intentional leadership, and personalized growth. This slower, authentic approach is helping me to build a base that deeply resonates with my style, leading to long-term sustainable success rather than short bursts of growth.

  2. Developing My Unique Leadership Philosophy
While many leadership experts follow popular trends, I focus on integrating faith and John Maxwell’s leadership and growth principles into my coaching and mentorship. By avoiding the trap of comparison, I have  refined my own voice and approach. This authenticity has positioned me as a trusted leader for those seeking intentional, purpose-driven growth rather than quick fixes.

  3. Navigating Setbacks with Resilience
When faced with slower-than-expected progress or personal challenges, instead of getting discouraged by others’ faster success, I remind myself that my journey is unique. This mindset is helping me maintain consistency in my  coaching and leadership practice, turning setbacks into learning opportunities and strengthening my resolve.

  4. Prioritizing Meaningful Relationships Over Networking Numbers
Rather than chasing large follower counts or surface-level connections, I’m focused on cultivating deep, authentic relationships within my community. This approach has led to valuable collaborations, and partnerships that align with my mission and values.

Next Steps:
So, If comparison has been stealing your focus or confidence, take a moment today to realign. Ask yourself: What is my next right step?
If you want support clarifying your path, strengthening your leadership, or growing with intention, let’s connect. Helping others step fully into their own potential is the work I’m passionate about.

Comment, share, or message me if this resonates.

Are you stewarding the gifts you’ve been given—or comparing yourself to gifts you don’t have?

Are you stewarding the gifts you’ve been given—or comparing yourself to gifts you don’t have?

(From one of my quiet times this week..)

“Each one, as a good manager of God’s different gifts, must use for the good of others the special gift he has received from God.” —1 Peter 4:10 (GNT)

Purpose isn’t discovered by chasing someone else’s calling. It’s revealed when we recognize and steward what God has already placed in us.

Our gifts include the things we didn’t choose—our background, experiences, and wiring—as well as our SHAPE: spiritual gifts, heart, abilities, personality, and experiences. These are not random. They’re intentional. And they’re meant to be used for the good of others.

God doesn’t expect me to operate outside of how He designed me. He does expect me to faithfully use what I’ve been given. When I stand before Him, I won’t be compared to anyone else—only to what I did with what was entrusted to me.

The story of Esther reminds us of this truth (Esther 2:15, 17 NIV). God used her specific gifts to position her for a moment that changed lives. In the same way, your gifts are not accidental—they are purposeful.

The real measure of success isn’t talent or comparison. It’s stewardship.

Bottom line:
You are responsible for faithfully using the gifts God has given you—to serve others and fulfill the purpose He uniquely designed for you.

Next Step:
What is one gift God has given you—and how will you intentionally use it this week to serve someone else?
If you’re ready to grow in self-awareness, leadership, and purpose, let’s have a conversation. That’s the work I love to do—helping people discover and step into their fullest potential.

Comment, message me, or share this with someone who needs the reminder.

What you focus on expands

What you focus on expands.

If you’re focused on scarcity, you’ll always see what’s missing—opportunities, resources, confidence, or time. But when you shift your focus to abundance, you begin to see possibility, growth, and potential everywhere.

John C. Maxwell says it best:
“If you’re focused on scarcity, you will constantly see that there’s not enough. But if you’re focused on abundance, you will constantly see that there’s more than enough.”

This mindset shift changes everything—how we lead, how we show up for others, and how we view our own potential. Abundance thinking doesn’t ignore challenges; it reframes them. It reminds us that growth starts internally before it ever shows up externally.

As leaders, coaches, and people committed to personal growth, our responsibility is to model this mindset—not just for ourselves, but for those we influence. When we think abundance, we create space for others to grow, contribute, and step into who they were created to be.

Next Step:
This week, notice where scarcity thinking may be limiting you—and intentionally replace it with an abundance perspective.

If you’re ready to grow as a leader, strengthen your mindset, and step more fully into your potential, let’s connect. Helping people make this shift is exactly the work I’m passionate about.

Comment, message me, or share this with someone who could use an abundance reminder today.

You Don’t Control the Timeline—You Control the Next Action

You Don’t Control the Timeline—You Control the Next Action

“You can't make time go faster or success come sooner. The only thing you can control is the next action.”
James Clear

This quote hit me because so many capable, purpose-driven people (including myself) get stuck waiting—waiting for clarity, confidence, permission, or the perfect moment.

But growth doesn’t happen all at once.
Leadership isn’t built in leaps.
Transformation begins with one intentional next step.

In my own journey, I’ve learned that progress comes when I stop trying to control outcomes and start committing to consistent, aligned actions—especially when it comes to personal growth and leadership.

The leaders who make the greatest impact aren’t the ones who rush the process. They’re the ones who stay intentional, coachable, and faithful with the next right step.

Next step:
What’s one small, intentional action you can take this week to grow as a leader or move closer to your purpose?

Drop it in the comments—or message me if you’re ready to explore what that next step could look like.

Growth Isn’t Always About Adding More

Growth Isn’t Always About Adding More

“There are two ways to grow: by adding or by shedding.
Do you need to add something or do you need to shed something?”
James Clear

When most people think about growth, they immediately think about doing more.
More goals. More skills. More effort. More hours.

But some of the most meaningful growth I’ve experienced—and seen in others—didn’t come from adding anything new. It came from shedding:
• A habit that no longer served
• A role taken on out of obligation
• A belief that limited confidence or clarity

Intentional leadership starts with discernment. Knowing what to add and what to let go of.

Sometimes the next breakthrough isn’t found in learning something new… It’s found in releasing what’s holding you back.

Next Step:
As you reflect on your leadership and personal growth, ask yourself: What is one thing you need to add this season—and one thing you need to shed?

If you want help identifying that next step (or next release), let’s talk. Coaching creates space for clarity, alignment, and forward movement.

You Were Saved to Serve—Not to Sit

You Were Saved to Serve—Not to Sit (from one of my quiet times this week...)

One of the most overlooked truths in leadership and faith is this: “purpose always moves outward”.

Scripture says, “Now you belong to Him who was raised from death in order that we might be useful in the service of God” (Romans 7:4).

That means calling isn’t reserved for pastors, missionaries, or people with a title. Every believer is called to full-time service—right where they are. Our careers, skills, experiences, and even our pain are meant to benefit others.

When we use what God has placed in us to help someone else, we’re not just being productive—we’re being faithful. Leadership rooted in identity always expresses itself through service.

The world says, “It’s all about me.”
The gospel says, “It’s all about impact.”

When we move from belonging to Christ to serving others, purpose comes alive—and God is glorified.

Next Step:
This week, identify one specific way you can intentionally serve using your strengths—mentor someone, encourage a teammate, share insight, or step into a need you’ve been avoiding. Don’t wait for a role or permission. Start where you are.

If you want help turning your identity, faith, and leadership into purposeful impact, let’s have a conversation. That’s the work I’m committed to.
